Distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria in sixty-five patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and secondary fungus infection.

2009
ObjectiveTo investigate the distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases(COPD) and secondary fungus infection.MethodsThe sputamentums of sixty-five patients were performed with germiculture, and the drug sensitivity test was carried out.ResultsAmong 65 cases, blastomyces albicans in 38 cases(58.46%),fermentums in 10 cases(15.38%),smooth bacterium in 9 cases(13.84%),candida krusei in 4 cases(6.15%),candida tropicalis in 2 cases(3.07%),mold fungus in 2 cases(3.07%),were detected. The result of drug sensitivity test showed that blastomyces albicans was sensitive to anticandine, amphotericin B,itraconazole and 5-fluorouracil,but blastomyces albicans was insensitive to econazole and ketoconazole.ConclusionBlastomyces albicans is major pathogenic bacterium in patients with COPD and secondary fungus infection. The treatment should choose the direct and narrow-spectrum antibiotics.
