Overview of Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations

The present chapter deals with an overview of nonlinear Schrodinger equations that are mainly used to investigate the dynamics of nonlinear matter waves of either the nonlinear transmission networks or the Bose–Einstein condensates: The one-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schroodinger equations including the standard and the dissipative cases, the derivative nonlinear Schrodinger equations, the inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrodinger equations, and the multicomponent nonlinear Schrodinger equations
