Analysis on Influence Factors of Inpatients Readmitted Within 31 Days after Discharge

AbstractObjective. To understand the status and the influence factors of inpatients readmitted within 31 days after discharge in some grade-A class-three general hospital, and to provide the basis for improving the medical service quality and the scientific management of the hospital.Methods. All data in a discharged patient information database in the first half of 2012 in the hospital are imported to Excel2003, and the SPSS17.0 statistical software is applied to perform descriptive analysis and factor analysis on the patients readmitted within 31 days after discharge.Results. The average interval of days of patients from discharge to readmission is 23.26 days, the readmitted patients are mainly from community counties (accounting for 47.59%), wherein 482 cases are unplanned readmission, accounting for 1.01% of all discharged patients and accounting for 31.38% of all readmitted patients.
