Analysis of Individual Real-Time Responses to Flooding and Influence on Damage to Households
1992
Flood damage is obviously highly influenced by human behavioral factors, such as floodplain occupancy and collective preparedness. Indeed, individual real-time responses, either to flood warning or to water level rise, modify the expected damage. But neither the various parameters influencing the responses nor the quantitative effects of these responses on damage are sufficiently known.
