Unexpected Formation of Bicyclic Cyclopropane Lactam and Pyridone from the Reaction of cis-2-Aryl-1-carbomethoxy-3,3-dicynocyclopropane with Primary Aliphatic Amine via Isomerization and Rearrangement.

Abstract The novel process for preparation of fused bicyclic cyclopropane lactams and multisubstituted pyridones was described. It is the first example of a successful isomerization and rearrangement of the cis‐cyclopropane with primary aliphatic amine.
