A Solid-State Radio Receiving System for the Recording and Monitoring of Standard ATA Transmissions on 10 and 15 MHz

The paper describes an experimental set-up for receiving, recording and monitoring 10 MHz and 15MHz ATA transmissions from NPL, New Delhi. This set-up comprises of a folded dipole antenna fed to crystal-controlled receiver. AGC voltage is amplified and recorded on a strip-chart recorder with a time constant of 1s and chart speed of 2.54cm/hour. Performance of such a system is presented in this paper.
