Simultaner Nachweis von Salmonella spp., Campylobacter jejuni und L. monocytogenes in Lebensmitteln: Untersuchungen mittels Microarray-Technologie (NUTRI®-Chip)

2003
Human diarrhetic deseases of bacterial origin are caused by Salmonella and Campylobacter spp. mainly and are still unaltered in height. Apparently Listeria monocytogenes too can be found in food causing massive deseases to certain predestinated groups of persons. The available cultural methods detecting these bacteria are elaborate and time-consuming. Therefore their application onto the implemented control principles in food production is difficult in modern production technologies and distribution strategies. The microarray technology after multiplex PCR (NUTRI®-Chip, Co. GeneScan Europe AG) seems to be a promisingly fast and assured alternative to the known cultural methods. The practicability of the NUTRI®-Chip after inoculating six different types of food with 10 cfu/g resp. 100 cfu/g was examined. The NUTRI®-Chip safely recovers simultaneously the three most important food associated pathogens. The examination with the NUTRI®-Chip approximately lasted 2 days including pre-enrichment, DNA extraction and the following PCR and hybridization steps.
