System for generating plasma-electric energy

2002
Reverse Field Magnetic Topological Configuration (FRC) System and Instrument and Conversion of Fusion Products to Electricity. The plasma ions are preferably magnetically retained in the FRC, while the plasma electrons are electrostatically retained in the deep energy well formed by tuning the outside of the acting magnetic field. In this configuration, the ions and electrons have a suitable density and temperature, so that in collisions they are fused by nuclear force to form circular beam-shaped fusion products. The energy of the fusion products decreases simultaneously with their movement along the spiral around the electrons of the inverse cyclotron converter. Advantageously, fusion fuel plasmas that can be used for this energy retention and conversion system include advanced fuel types (aneutron fuels).
