Equipment, technology and protective coatings produced by ion bombardment deposition

The commercial equipment and fundamentals of the vacuum plasma high-energy technological process for the deposition of multicomponent protective coatings of overlay, diffusion and overlay-diffusion types applied to turbomachine blades are considered. The structure test results for coatings deposited on two-phase flows of the multicomponent plasma, containing coating material droplets, are presented and the basic advantages and drawbacks of the vacuum plasma coating deposition method are considered.
