Electro-thermal Model of Approximated Organic Tissue for Investigation of Harmful Electrosurgical Impacts

In proposed paper the method of organic tissue modelling in the COMSOL environment will be presented. Approximation of complex model is described. The main motivation is the need for simple, fast and accurate 3D simulation model, which can be consequently utilized within more complex modeling of human organs for investigation of negative electro-thermal impacts on organic tissue during electrosurgery. Mathematical procedure for approximation of complex model is being described. 3D hexagonal approximated model of organic tissue (liver tissue) forming large structure is simulated within electric interfacing conditions. The obtained results are exploitable for the analysis of probability of injury formation in sensitive tissue structures during electrosurgical procedures.
