Dispersion compensation with chirped fiber Bragg grating to 400 km at 10 Gbit/s in nondispersion-shifted fiber

1996
Summary form only given. In conclusion a l0-cm-long chirped fiber grating has been fabricated and used to demonstrate dispersion compensation for 10-Gbit/s transmission up to 400 km, which is the longest distance reported for grating compensators to date.
