Spatial frequency analysis of Heintzmann and Cremer method for super resolution
2017
We present a numerical investigation of the structured illumination method (SIM) algorithm. It is shown that changing the frequency of the structured illumination affects the resolution of the resulting images non-uniformly in the spatial frequency domain. As the grating frequency increases, some groups of lines of higher spatial frequency became distinguishable as expected; however, certain groups of lines of lower spatial frequency that were formerly distinguishable become indistinguishable. This paper adds to the body of knowledge by showing these results in a quantitative way.
