UV-B-induced CPD Formation in the DNA of Rice Seedlings

2001
UV-B-induced cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers(CPD) in the DNA of rice seedlings were measured using ELISA with specific monoclonal antibody. The accumulation of CPD in rice leaves increased within 4 h UV-B exposure. In the tested temperature range (0-30deg C ), CPD formation in rice leaves was temperature-dependent. Less CPD accumulated at lower temperature.
