Cultural attributes evaluation on publicity week for infection control.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the function of the hospital infection control publicity week in hospital infection management,to improve its management.METHODS Holding activities like launching a Tiantan Newsletter of Infection Control,symbol of infection control collections,selection of Star of Infection Control,etc helped the hospital establish a brand of infection control and cultural connotations.During Tiantan Infection Control week,three themes activities including Pasteur Day,Nightingale Day and Semmelweiss Day were held.There were special lectures,sending-word cards′ collection,publicity boards′ exposition,investigations,answer questions with rewards,games and other various forms of activities.RESULTS During the period of publicity week,there were 10 lectures and more than 1500 participants.3 special lectures in crucial departments,224 doctors and nurses were involved.Thirty doctors and nurses from 12 other hospitals participated the activities in publicity week.Totally 324 sending-word cards were received.CONCLUSION The Infection Control Publicity Week incarnates the idea of the whole hospital works together,control infection together,the selection of Star of Infection Control and boosts up the solidarity among staff,enhances the impact and execution of hospital infection control.All the staff realize the importance of hospital infection control from the activities of Tiantan infection control week.
