A new time discretization for the radiative transfer equations: analysis and comparison with the classical discretization

This paper analyzes a new time discretization for the radiative transfer equations, and compares this discretization with the classical discretization introduced by Fleck and Cummings. The convergence of both discretizations is proven. Finally, the asymptotic analysis of the new time discretization is achieved when the mean free path goes to zero.
