Support system and method for surgery

A system (100) in support of a surgical procedure to be carried out (116) on a patient. The system comprising: multiple identification means (120), which can be applied to medical use of objects (130) for a surgical procedure, and a computer system (110). The computer system (110) contains a list (112) with the different medical utensil (130) that are required for to carry out the surgical procedure. The computer system (110) is adapted to be on an electronic manner (150) to identify the tags (120), and in order to execute a program (118) which only permits a surgical procedure where these have been identified that correspond to the medical utensils (130) that are on the list (112).
