Fatty acid methyl esters synthesis from triglycerides over heterogeneous catalysts in the presence of microwaves

2004
Abstract Microwaves have proven more interesting than traditional methods for the alcoholysis with methanol of triglycerides with heterogeneous catalysis allowing better yields and conversions into FAMEs (Fatty Acids Methyl Esters) in a short time and, consequently, less energy consumption.
