Tuning of violet to blue emission by Gd doped ZnO nanoparticles synthesized via simple combustion technique

Pure and 1mol%, 2mol%, 3mol% and 5mol% Gd doped ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by simple combustion technique and were characterized using X-raydiffraction (XRD), Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy. Violet to blue emission was observed in doped samples.
