Frequency Domain Simulation Method for Electromagnetic Oscillations in Non-concentric Layered Ball Resonator

The electromagnetic resonant oscillations in a cavity dielectric layered ball with eccentric spherical dielectric inclusion have been studied. We have proposed a solution of Maxwell equations as an analytical method for computer simulation of a layered electrodynamic system with axial symmetry. Our approach allows using a scalar description of the electromagnetic field by means of the Hertz functions, as well as separate treating non-interacting eigen-modes. We also carried out modelling simulation the studied resonance layered structure in CST Microwave Studio (Student version) as a verification our approach. A good agreement has been observed between obtained eigen-frequencies from analytical solution of Maxwell equations numerical results and eigen-frequencies values in CST Microwave Studio (Student version).
