The invention discloses a method and a system for detecting automobile engine lubricating system state. The method includes the steps of A, detecting oil pressure of a main oil duct of an engine lubricating system and rotation speed of an engine; and B, acquiring electric signals generated during oil pressure detection and rotation speed signals generated during engine rotation speed detection, and controlling an alarm indicator lamp to be kept on or closed or glitter at a preset frequency and a buzzer whether to give out alarm or not according to the electric signals and the rotation speed signals. By the method, a driver can fast check problems of the engine lubricating system, checking time is saved, and convenience is brought to the driver.
