Design analysis of the functioning of pile foundations with low and high rafts and consideration of nonlinear bed performance

Results are presented for numeric analysis of the performance of pile foundations with low and high rafts using an elasto-plastic model of a bed with independent strain hardening. The safety factors used for design of pile foundations in European and domestic regulatory literature are analyzed.
