Preventive countermeasures for emergencies of nosocomial infection in neonatal ward

OBJECTIVE To investigate the preventive measures for emergencies of nosocomial infection in neonatal ward.METHODS The outbreak of nosocomial infection in Mar 2009 was analyzed.RESULTS Three cases of more than one week hospital stay in children with positive blood culture results were Klebsiella pneumoniae(extended spectrum β-lactamase positive).Three cases of infected children were treated with active isolation,cuting off the source of infection and preventing the spread of applications under both,meanwhile,meropenem was applied in accordance with the drug susceptibility,the three cases were recovered.no new case occurred in the neonatal ward.CONCLUSION The contingency plans for emergency nosocomial infection should be set in neonatal department,and the isolation and treatment should be performed based on the scientific and standardized contingency plans.
