Os direitos humanos dos profissionais de enfermagem: proposta de novo referencial

Objective: to develop theoretical contributions based on the human rights of health professionals applicable to nursing professionals. Methodology: this is a theoretical and documentary study, thus, the basic material for its elaboration can be subdivided into bibliographical and documentary sources. Results: it is possible to apply the theoretical reference of the human rights of health professionals in the professional environment in order to improve their working conditions and health care. Conclusion: nursing professionals and other health professionals are not trained to think in terms of human rights, resulting in their distancing from the language of human rights, not allowing them to perceive themselves as holders of human rights vis-a-vis the State.
