Neutron-proton interactions in the mass-80 region.

In a model study, yrast band-crossing structures are shown to be qualitatively changed by residual neutron-proton interactions. This could explain some anomalies recently observed for light Kr isotopes. Large effects on the yrast-band {ital g} factors are predicted.
