Design of a High-Performance Compact Rubidium Frequency Standard

In this paper, a high-performance compact rubidium frequency standard (CRFS) has been successfully developed, of which the frequency stability (Allan variance) reached 3E−12/τ 0.5 (τ = 1–1000 s) and frequency drift was reduced to below 1E−12/1d. The frequency stability is less than ±2E−10 at the temperature range of −45 to +60 °C. Powered by modern electronic technology, the bulk is controlled to about 0.5 L and the mass is about 0.4 kg.
