Introduction. The quality of life depends on two groups factors, one of them we cannot modify, second – we can. The first are genetics and environment, the seconds – diet and physical activity. The aim of this study was assess the impact of aquafitness and gymnastics health exercises on mental well-being among women after the age 60. Material and methods. In the research took part 81 female. Average age was 67.5. the people were divided into three groups. First group – participants of aquafitness exercises (n=24), second – gymnastics health (n=27), third – non-active (n=30). Research tools were Geriatrics Depression Scale – short version and authors questionnaire. To develop empirical data, the following statistical tools were used: Pearson correlation and Mann-Whitney’s U test. The minimum level of significance was set at p<0,05. Results.
