Design of Performance Benchmark for Time Series Databases

Time series databases are widely used in fields such as Internet, Internet of Things, and Industrial Internet. However, due to diverse applications and architectures of time series databases, the industry has not yet reached a consensus on their performance testing methods. This article starts from the definition and characteristics of time series databases, analyzes the commonly used benchmarking tools. Based on this, suitable datasets and test methods are designed for performance testing, and performance comparisons are analyzed based on this method.
