PENGERINGAN KARET SIT PADA ALATPENGERING HIBRID DENGAN RAK GANTUNGMENGGUNAKAN ENERGI SURYA DAN BIOMASSAKAYU KARET

The objective of this research was to study the drying process of sheet rubber on hybrid dryer with hanging shalves using solar energy and biomass (rubber wood). This research was conducted at Workshop and Laboratory Technology Officer, Rubber Research Institute Sembawa, Banyuasin, from September 2015 to April 2016. The research method was done in three phases of testing tools, data retrieval and data analysis. Parameters measured were water content, drying rate, energy needs analysis and drying efficiency. The results showed that the water content of the final sit with a combination of solar energy and respectively 0.19% and 0.13% with the average drying rate - ratanya 0.18% and 0.23% per hour per hour. The total heat energy required to heat the drying chamber amounted to 79 375 kJ on solar drying and 71 426 kJ of energy combination. Drying and heating efficiency of each energy were 20.15% and 31.94% on solar drying, drying while the combination is 8.22% and 6.9%.
