A stator core (8) for a rotating electric machine includes a plurality of core segments (8S) on, in each of which at least a first core member (20) and at least a second core member (30) are stacked with each other, wherein: the first core element (20) arc-shaped first yoke (21), a first tooth (22) from an inner circumferential side of the arc of the first yoke (21) protrudes, a recess (23) at a first end (21Ta) of the first yoke (21) is formed, and there is formed a projection (24) at a second end (21Tb) of the first yoke (21); and the second core member (30) has an arc-shaped second yoke (31) with straight-line shaped ends (31Ta, 31Tb), and a second tooth (32) from the inner circumferential side of the sheet of the second yoke (31) protrudes. The recesses (23) and the projections (24) of the core segments (8S) are joined to form an annular structure. A dimension of the recess (23) is greater than a dimension of the projection (24) in the radial direction of the annular structure in the radial direction of the annular structure.
