Using Improved Pollen Algorithm to Optimize Coordination of Relay Protection

By optimizing the setting value of relay protection device, the coordination ability of relay protection device in power system can be improved and the operation time of relay can be reduced .Aiming at the relay protection coordination problem, the setting calculation of inverse time overcurrent protection is transformed into a nonlinear programming problem with multiple constraints, and a protection coordination optimization scheme based on an improved flower pollination algorithm is proposed .The simulation results of the 6 bus system show that the improved flower pollination algorithm has better convergence speed and precision, and can make up for the disadvantages of falling into local minimum and slow convergence speed .The protection optimization scheme based on the improved flower pollination algorithm can improve the quickness of protection and provide a new idea for the online setting and checking of the fixed value of power system protection in the future.
