A controlled study of risperedone in child schizophrenia

Objective:To explore the curative effects and safety of risperedone in child schizophrenia.Methods:40 child schizophrenia who met the diagnostic critenia of CCMD-3 were randomly divided into risperedone group or perphenazine group,They were tredted by risperedone or perphenazine for 8 weeks,Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale(BPRS) and Treatment Emergent Symptom scale(TESS) were used to evaluate the efficaly and side effects respectively.Results: There was no significant difference in efficaly between these two groups,but side effects of risperdone were less than those of perphenazine.Conclusions: Risperedone is safe and effective in the treatment of child schizophrenia.
