Imágenes del deporte en la literatura espiritual cristiana (España, ss. XVI-XVII)

espanolEl objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar de que forma la literatura espiritual cristiana de los siglos XVI-XVII se apropia de imagenes y terminos del deporte. A partir de ejemplos como Juego de Esgrima a lo divino (1582), o Juego de axedrez a lo divino (1588), ofreceremos materiales para una reflexion sobre la relacion entre deporte y cristianismo en el seno de una sociedad sin mentalidad deportiva. La presentacion se organiza en dos secciones: i) Topicos deportivos en la literatura espiritual; ii) Relaciones entre el pensamiento catolico y las imagenes y del deporte, especialmente tras el Concilio de Trento EnglishThe aim of this presentation is to show the appropriation of the sports images and languages by the spiritual Christian literature in the XVI and XVII centuries. As from examples like the Juego de Esgrima a lo divino (Fencing Game in a divine style, Valencia, 1582), the Juego de axedrez a lo divino (Chess game in a divine style, Valencia, 1588), and other works, we will provide some comprehensive materials for a further reflection on sports and Christianity in a society without a sport mind. Our presentation is organized in two sections: i) Sports topics in spiritual works; ii) Relations between the catholic thought and the images and the languages of sports and bodies, especially after Council of Trent.
