The structure of steel ShKh15SG subjected to uninterrupted and stepwise quenching differs in the degree of α-solid solution inhomogeneity. 3. The level of martensite inhomogeneity concentration with respect to carbon may serve as an additional criterion for the quality of heat treated articles.
