Effect of different procedures for cataract after antiglaucomatous operation

2004
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Phacoemulsification(Phaco) and ECCE in treatment of cataract after anti- glaucomatous surgery.Methods:Fifty-three cases(62 eyes) of cataract after antiglaucomatous operation were performed Phaco(27 eyes,23 cases) or ECCE(35 eyes,30 cases). The vision, intraocular pressure and postoperative inflammation of the patients were followed up and the results compared. Results:The sight was ≥0.5 in 17 eyes(62.96%) in Phaco group and 13 eyes(37.14%) in ECCE group. The difference was significant(P0.05).Room water glimmering≥(),celluose seeping out and pigmentation on IOL,in that the ECCE group was severe than the Phaco group(P0.05).Interlobular pressure was the same between Phaco and ECCE group(P0.05).Conclusions:Phaco is better than ECCE for the treatment of cataract after antiglancomatous operation.
