Analysis of influence factors of AVO in carbonate reservoir

Carbonate reservoir is an important petroleum reservoir. Due to its different geology characteristics, there are lots of limits to the application of AVO in carbonate reservoir. Correct understanding of AVO in carbonate reservoir is of great significance. Seismic physical modeling and numerical modeling are carried out on two different saturated fluids model and two other models with different sizes of cave reservoirs to analyze influence factors of AVO in carbonate reservoir. Analysis of seismic data indicates that both saturated fluid and size of cave reservoir can cause AVO change. AVO intercept increases with horizontal sizes of cave reservoirs within a certain range, while AVO gradient has almost no change; AVO intercept increases first and decreases later with the increase of vertical sizes of cave reservoir, while AVO gradient only increases when vertical size is less than 50m.
