This paper discusses how technology transforms social everyday life, especially by offering products and services that depends on the supply and analysis of personal data, which stems from the new business derived from the use of technology. This situation is commented from the perspective of the need of personal data protection in order to give individuals the realization of the fundamental right to privacy.
