Representações sociais em movimento: professores-estudantes em Curso de Pedagogia do Parfor

The aim of this research is to understand the social representations of teachers enrolled in pedagogy course as part of a government program implemented by the National Policy for Teacher Training in Basic Education (Parfor – Brazil, 2009) about the construction of their professional identity. As a methodological procedure three instruments based on the Theory of Social Representations (TRS) (Moscovici, 1978) were applied to 43 teachers. They were composed by questions exploring the social insertion of subjects and their professional and academic profiles; the free association of words; and some open questions. The results anchored social representations in three dimensions: identity, pedagogical and political. These social representations in movement allowed the definition of important elements to think of training, pedagogic practices and professional identity.
