An Optimized Design of Array Multiplier Using Lithium Niobate Based Waveguide

An optimized design of a two-bit array multiplier is proposed here. The multiplication operation for an array is performed using half adder and AND gate. Multiplication is a basic operation for arithmetic logical devices. The performance of the proposed device is simulated using the beam propagation method (BPM). The extinction ratio and insertion loss are reported as 38.38 and 0.1 dB at 1300 nm wavelength.
