Magnetic structure of Ce(Ru0.96Pd0.04)2Si2

The magnetic structure of a tetragonal Ce(Ru0.96Pd0.04)2Si2 single crystal, determined by neutron diffraction measurements, is similar to that observed in Rh doped alloys. The magnetic moments are oriented and modulated along the c-axis. Here the wave vector is incommensurate: k = (0, 0, 0.38). At 1.5 K, the moment is estimated to about 0.3 μB. Magnetization, magnetoresistance and Hall effect measurements performed on this alloy are also reported.
