Role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Msmes) In Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) undoubtedly in the recent times have appeared in the Indian economy as a significant and vibrant division. In addition, this sector also plays an domineering role in India'seconomic development as it employs a large number of people after agriculture sector. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the present status of MSMEs (Micro, small, medium enterprises) in India to achieve the targets of Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG8). This paper also suggests the new ways through which MSMEs initiate their role towards sustainable development. Furthermore, the study comprises the data from various published sources, such as journals, books, reports and numerical data available on authentic websites. Lastly, researchers have figured out that there is significant role of MSMEs in achieving the goal of green development as these units exist in almost every location of India. Therefore, these units have shown significant contribution in green development of India.
