Repetitive Learning Frequency Control for Energy Intensive Corporate Microgrids subject to Cyclic Batch Loads

2020
It is well known that electric loads exhibit repetitive short term behaviour which has been the focus of load forecasting research for many years. In this study a high-order non-causal iterative learning load frequency controller (HOILC) for a multi-source generation scheme in an intensive corporate microgrid setting, subject to repetitive electric loading is proposed. The HOILC strategy is compared to that of an optimally tuned integral strategy and fuzzy controller showing significantly better performance for the periodic disturbances imposed by the batch loading processes even under parameter variations.
