Model driven data acquisition system

The MDS-Plus data acquisition system is described. The system's development is governed by the concept of an experiment model which acts as an interface between the experimenter and the acquisition process. The experiment model can be verbally defined through a suitable language which is compiled into optimized internal data structures, or through an interactive model editor which can also be used for modifying an existing model or its parameters. >
