Simulation and calculation of membrane parameters in vacuum membrane distillation

In order to study the effect of membrane materials on penetration flux,one model for describing heat and mass transfer of vacuum membrane distillation process was established and used in the simulation of membrane(permeation) flux.The simulation results are of good agreement with the experimental data in the literature.(Furthermore),the membrane length,thickness,inner radius and tortuosity factor,mass transfer coefficient of the membrane were studied and calculated,and the influences of membrane parameters on permeation flux were(discussed).This investigation provides a theoretical fundament to choose and utilize membrane efficiently in vacuum membrane(distillation.)
