Medios normativos concernientes a la salud mental perinatal

The purpose of this article is to compile a collection of normative bases to family-centred child-rearing. A number of legal provisions and technical standards set by UN, WHO, EU institutions as well as the Spanish State that are especially relevant to perinatal and general mental health were considered. Those provisions and standards address topics such as human rights, health and mental health. The texts are abundant and share the same view. Thus, it can be concluded that there is general normative support to the establishment of the mother-baby units as suggested by ASMI WAIMH Spain.
