Practice in Problem-based Learning Teaching for Advanced Medical Mathematics

Problem-based learning(PBL) is adopted by many medical universities and colleges,but it is targeted at practice of preclinical or clinical course teaching;there is little research on PBL teaching theory for general basic courses.This paper,with an example of ROC curve used to evaluate clinical application of diagnostic tests,discusses the practice of this teaching mode on Probability Theory in advanced mathematics.Finally,by relating the offering of mathematics experiment classes,the authors discuss reform in means of advanced medical mathematics teaching and explore the significance of using PBL mode in teaching and specific methods.
