The Opacity Project―the TOPBASE atomic database

TOPBASE is the first prototype in the development of a tailored DBMS for the efficient manipulation of the large volume of atomic data that resulted form the «Opacity Project». The details of the adopted conceptual approach, its physical design and query language are described. A few examples are included to illustrated its present search, data manipulation and graphic capabilities
