Materials of Chinese Traditional Operas of Ancient Dunhuang

About the origin of the Chinese traditional operas, as opinions vary,no unanimous conclusion can be drawn. In this paper, the writer synthesizes various materials from Dunhuang, such as paintings, sculptures and manuscripts,and thinks that the earliest drama of China can be dated back to the Tang Dynasty, the stage for opera performation can be seen on Dunhuang paintings of the Tang Dynasty,too. The author deals with relationship between the opera and sacrificial rites, dance,literature(including poem, Bianwen, Quzi, Sujiang,Jiangjingwen文,etc.).
