Occipital Nerve Stimulation Using an Ultrasound Surgical Technique

The use of ultrasound techniques has brought additional surgical knowledge to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of peripheral nerve stimulation in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes. In this chapter, we will describe occipital nerve stimulation (ONS) using ultrasound, a safe and secure technique. ONS is used to treat different headaches, notably occipital neuralgia, migraine, and cluster headache.
