PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water accumulation device and a water accumulation method, capable of taking out moisture-absorbed water efficiently from a polymer hygroscopic material.SOLUTION: A water accumulation device includes a stimulus imparting part for imparting external stimulus for lowering affinity to water in a polymer hygroscopic material, and a vibration part for vibrating the polymer hygroscopic material having lowered affinity to water, to thereby allow the polymer hygroscopic material to discharge water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
