14.2: New Transparent Electrodes for Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Displays

Cholesteric liquid crystals are an important class of optical materials for bistable full-color reflective displays. ITO and PEDOT are commonly used for transparent electrodes in ChLCD constructions. Both have limitations. Recent 3M work has shed light on new transparent electrodes for ChLCD displays that can give higher performing devices.
